Since I made my first web page in 1996, I've been captivated by the ability to move from markup to magic online. This interest has turned into a dissertation that examines the rhetorical choices of novice web designers, work on a sprawling Online Writing Lab website, mentoring new professional writing teachers through teaching on the web, and doing a lot of freelance web design for various Purdue organizations and as a freelancer (either volunteer or for pay).
